Proposed Global Protest - Back in Black - Putting the fear and respect back into Anonymous

I am proposing a protest for November 31st, 2008. The purpose of this protest is a return to more aggressive behaviour, attacking the abuses and practices of the Church of Scientology in a blatant and tactless manner.

Anonymous appears to have lost some fear and respect. People considered us headstrong rebels and that image has been watered down.

Black clothing is mandatory for this one. EFG masks are strongly encourage to demonstrate unity. Those with multiple masks should bring extras to hand out to Anons who haven't obtained one. A main focus for this protest is unity and strength of unity. Signs should have some shock value, IE. "The bricks of the Cult are mortared with the blood of its members".

It's time to bring style and flair back to Anonymous. I hope I'm not alone in this sentiment. Let's bare our fangs again, and let's keep the memes minimal.

I will be proposing this protest on multiple forums for wider coverage. Thank you everybody for your time and consideration.

I think I'm usually called a moral fag and I like the idea!

I down with this idea. I also think we should play L Ron Hubbard Xenu audio files as well.

I thought it'd be kind of cool if some anons could pull together a "portable media station", basically consisting of a card table, a laptop computer playing Anonymous videos and videos about the abuses in Scientology, and a little table-top rack holding the various Anonymous flyers to hand out to the public. I think I saw something similar, maybe at a San Fran protest?

I agree with you. A lot of media smears have given Anonymous a childish reputation, and the $cilons have been trying to play us off as prankster kids since the beginning. I absolutely agree that we need to go back to how we started and reinstate that voice, and to really put the heat on now that the public opinion of $cientology is more skeptic than ever.

I know what you mean, but going back is the wrong way to look at it. Anonymous is supposed to be a loose collective, an organism reacting to its environment, constantly adapting and changing. October 18th will be a great opportunity to observe how the Church of Scientology will be reacting to Anonymous at the present time. Let's hope a lot of Anons get some great documentation of how things go down. When Anonymous observes how the cult is reacting to Anonymous, Anonymous will be able to determine what the next step should be. Whatever Anonymous does, it shouldn't be predictable... the collective voice of the Legion will decide.

Whatever we do, we can't forget the lulz. The COS IS a ridiculous cult, and is rife for the lulzing.

I can't join Anonymous this time because of real life crap. Good luck on the 18th and happy enturbulating!

Oh, one more thing. I've noticed that the counter-protesting and handling is starting to disappear. How the hell are we supposed to reach the folks locked up in the building? I guess the megaphone was a good start but there has to be a way to communicate and enturbulate the shut-in Scientologists. Or is that a really bad idea?
